As a young man Jerry left the “Rock” and relocated in Toronto, where he was employed at Pioneer Luggage. He met and became smitten with a young Irish lass there Mary. Jerry would skip a few meals in order save up for ballroom dancing lessons at the Arthur Murray’s Dance Studio so he could ask Mary out for a night on the dance floor.
Jerry and Mary wed on November 5th 1960, at St Michaels Cathedral, on Church st in Toronto and soon started their family. First born, David arrived on December 27th 1961, followed by their second son Brian, born December 17th 1963.
Jerry went on to new employment at TPT Transport, on O’Connor dr, staying with the company, working the afternoon shift for 27 years.

There, Jerry was reacquainted with Theresa; a neighbour and school pal from his youth. Theresa lost her husband the same year Jerry lost Mary and a close friendship soon started. They began to spend more time together, flying between Toronto and NLFD.
After a few years of the back and forth travel, they made it official and wed in Toronto.
Jerry relocated to the place of his birth, Conception Bay, with Theresa, until her passing in 2014.
Jerry moved back to Toronto, to spend time with his sons family’s.
Jerry stayed in the Toronto area, until his passing this year.
