Sue Parr

My condolences to the family of Gwenda Larkin.
My mother, Mary Parr, would speak fondly of her Aunt Gwenda. Gwenda and I corresponded by letter for the last couple of years until it became too much for her to write. In one of her early letters, she suggested we have a "personal chin wag" as she had some family history she wanted to share. So one Saturday morning in January 2016, Tim and I drove to Courtice, where I met my Great Aunt Gwenda. What a lady! And what a memory! I am so grateful to have met with her that day and for her to share family history with me that would have forever been lost had we not met that day.
Rest in peace Gwenda.
With lots of love.
Susan Parr

Nancy (Dewar) Reid

Hello Madalyn-
My condolences on the death of your mother. I remember you from Leaside - I lived on Airdrie Road and I believe you lived on Parkhurst.
Your mother must have been quite adventurous, moving from New Zealand to Toronto in 1936.
I live in Keswick now, but still think of Leaside and growing up there.
Again, my condolences.
