Obituary for Tommy Clements

Cheerio Mate.......Always a story and joke to tell, a song in his heart and a twinkle in his eyes , it is with much sadness we regret the loss of Thomas (Tommy ) Albert Clements.

Thomas (Tommy) Albert Clements passed away at the age of 85 on May 16th 2019 on Blueberry Hill, Hillsdale Estates Oshawa
with family at his side.

Tom is survived by his wife Barbara Clements of Whitby. Dear father of Tom Clements and his wife Tammy, grandchildren Jacob and Alyssa of Whitby. Daughter Jennifer Clements and partner Sean Mallard of Overton UK,grandchildren Amy and Alexander, brother George Clements of Port Hope, nephew Simon Clements of Toronto, cousin Rodney and Joan Stone of Toronto and long time friend Susan Hooper.

Tommy enjoyed life to the fullest. He was born in London England “ within the sound of Bowes Bells” he would tell you. He came to Canada March 16th 1957 with his brother George and in March of 2003 he proudly became a Canadian Citizen. He spent his working life with the T Eaton Co. “It wasn’t a job” he would say “when you want to go to work every day.” He spent his early retirement years in Florida enjoying sunshine and friendship. He loved his gardens, his chipmunks and Blue Jays, his yearly crop of Cherry Tomatoes and of course his Runner Beans.

A special Thank-you from the bottom of our hearts to all of the caregivers of Tommy from Trillium Trail and Blueberry Hill... Hillsdale Estates.

As per Tom’s wishes there will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Condolences only through Newcastle Funeral home.

We will dearly miss a fantastic boss, a great friend and a wonderful guy. Tommy ("mate") save me some of those great stories when we get together and share a good scotch in that rodeo in the sky.

We think that some people will just be here forever, sadly this is not the case. Tom made a difference in a lot of lives, he truly was a great "Boss", he will be missed by this "China Doll" well Tom....Andy and Cathy Spohn

Saddened to hear of Tom's passing. Working at Eaton's for several years and getting to know this wonderful person who always had a song in his heart and a joke to share was a privilege. My sincere condolences to all.

I am so very sad to hear of Tommy's passing. He was my very first boss at Eaton's. I have such fond memories of him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. Angela
