She was the youngest of 8 siblings and is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews both in Canada and in The Netherlands.
Dini was a floral designer both as a hobby and later her profession, at Reeds Flowers, the Carnation Flower Shop and joining her daughter at Apple Blossom Flowers. She was a certified Ontario Horticultural Association Judge and a director for over 20 years at the Orono Horticultural Club. Dini was a judge for Clarington Blooms and conducted workshops in floral design.
Dini was passionate about volunteering and was a Gran Friend where she read to the Orono Public School children, organized the Ladies Breakfasts, Seniors Community luncheons and singing in the Orono United Church choir, She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren: camping, organizing picnics, dressing up and teaching them sewing lessons and crafts.
