Obituary for Pauline Storks
STORKS, Pauline J. (nee Deline) – (Past Board member of Veridian; past chair of the E.D.A. and MEARI Board; Girl Guides of Canada Commissioner, Long time member of Newcastle United Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. Owner and operator of Pauline’s Specialty Shop for 50 years.) – Passed peacefully on Friday March 10th in Belleville, Ontario in her 93rd year. A life-long resident of Newcastle, Pauline was the loving wife of the late William John “Bill” Storks. Dear mother of Candace “Candy” and the late William Kim. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Amanda, Justin, Ashleigh, and great-granddaughters Morgan, Scarlett, Emily and great-grandson Hunter. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Leapha Deline, and sister Raye Friedlander and brother Harold Deline. Daughter-in-law of the late Russell and Grace Storks. Dear aunt of Dr. Michael and Terry Peterman, predeceased by Carolyn Garrod, Jill and Dean Friedlander. Sadly missed by her cousin Stewart Deline and family. Pauline will be missed by her many friends in Newcastle. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S., Newcastle (just north of 401 at the lights) for memorial visitation on Wednesday March 22nd from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. A memorial service will take place in the chapel of the funeral home beginning at 2:00 P.M. Donations in Pauline’s memory to the Ganaraska Conservation Authority or the Durham Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
